Youth Voices in Action: EY4F Ambassadors Join Agriterra’s C4D Training
From 12 to 15 May 2026, two Youth Ambassadors of Empower Youth4Food (EY4F) — Vo Thi Giau and Luu Ngoc Dang — joined the Youth Exchange and Training on Communications for Development (C4D), organised by Agriterra in the Mekong Delta. Over three rich days of training, group work, and cooperative field visits, both ambassadors returned with sharpened skills, deeper empathy, and a renewed sense of purpose.
Agriterra's C4D programme is designed to equip rural youth and young advocates with practical communication tools rooted in real community experience. At the heart of this training was the Most Significant Change (MSC) technique — a participatory method for collecting and narrating genuine stories of transformation from farmers and cooperative members. Participants also received hands-on training in short video production using mobile phones, covering ideation, filming, editing, and the use of AI tools to make storytelling more accessible for non-specialists.
About the C4D Programme
Through hands-on activities, Giau and Dang worked with local cooperatives including Toan Thang Aquaculture Cooperative, Nong Ngu Hoa De Cooperative and Xuan Thanh Cooperative. They listened to stories of change, supported cooperative members in developing communication ideas, and learned more about the role of cooperatives in improving livelihoods, market access and sustainable agricultural practices.

Toan Thang Aquaculture Cooperative
Dang worked alongside Mr. Nguyen Hoang Huy, a cooperative member, to document his journey from a struggling solo shrimp farmer — facing volatile prices, isolation, and limited knowledge to a confident, community-connected member with better market access and support through collective action.
Nong Ngu Hoa De Cooperative
Giau joined young cooperative members to build MSC stories around their progress in product packaging, value-added goods such as shrimp crackers, and plans to supply local supermarkets — concrete milestones reflecting years of growth supported by Agriterra.
Xuan Thanh Cooperative
Both ambassadors were moved by the cooperative leader's story of preserving the traditional ruou quach spirit while embracing modern technology and building a professional brand — a testament to how passion, perseverance, and creativity can keep heritage alive in a changing world.
