What is the Empower Youth 4 Food Campaign - Vietnam Chapter?

In Vietnam, agriculture modernization and food security face big challenges. Many young people do not want to be farmers because they think it is outdated and does not offer good job opportunities. As a result, the number of farmers is declining, with those remaining growing older. Unfortunately, this makes it hard for new farming technology and ideas to come in.

To address this, Southeast Asian NL alumni are collaborating to showcase success stories and examples across the region, aiming to demonstrate that agriculture can offer promising career paths and contribute to sustainable development. Through the Empower Youth 4 Food Campaign, we seek to engage the younger generation in shaping a future of agriculture, in order to create a better future for food and farming in Vietnam.

Your role as an Ambassador:

Are you passionate about agriculture and eager to make a difference in Vietnam’s farming and food security future? We are excited to invite (high school) students, young professionals and entrepreneurs aged 16 to 35 to become Ambassadors for our Empower Youth 4 Food campaign!

You will be involved in engaging in dynamic discussions on effectively involving youth in agriculture, and your insights and enthousiasm will drive the strategies used to empower youth to contribute significantly to Vietnam’s agricultural landscape!
